Engineering project
Visioncy Global Nusantara is excited to announce our collaboration with the EPFL Association, Ingénieur.e.s du monde, on several engineering projects focused on developing sustainable solutions for the Manggarai region in Flores, Indonesia. Our projects aim to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the local community, including improving coffee production and enhancing daily lives.
Our goal is to create innovative and sustainable solutions that will have a positive impact on the Manggarai community. By combining our expertise and resources with those of the EPFL Association, we hope to push the boundaries of engineering and create lasting change in the region.
This collaboration represents an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the world. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for all of us, by developing innovative solutions that address pressing challenges and improve the lives of people in communities around the globe.
For this project, we want to focus on improving accessibility for coffee producers. Currently, they have difficulty accessing the plantations, which are located at an altitude of over 1,200 meters. Indeed, they have to go back and forth between the village and the plantations, which is both tiring and time consuming.
Our goal is to find ways to make it easier for producers to access the plantations and transport the coffee cherries in a more comfortable manner. To do this, we plan to build infrastructure such as roads or paths suitable for all-terrain vehicles. We also plan to invest in transport equipment such as trailers or wheeled carts to facilitate the transport of coffee cherries from the mountains to the villages.
With these improvements, coffee farmers will be able to save time and energy, allowing them to focus on producing quality coffee. In addition, these initiatives will promote economic growth in the surrounding villages by facilitating the transportation of agricultural products.

The project aims to improve coffee production in the villages of the Manggarai region of Indonesia by creating an environment conducive to higher yields and adequate income generation for the local population. Coffee plantations, located at altitudes of over 1,200 meters, are a major economic pillar for these villages, but have been experiencing a decline in production for a decade. Indeed, monkeys and black ants destroy part of the production. Thus, the main objective is to find a system to reduce their presence as much as possible in order to increase coffee production.
The project also addresses the issue of plantation maintenance, cleaning and soil study to improve the growing conditions of the coffee. By taking these aspects into account, the project aims to support coffee farmers in the Manggarai region to produce high quality coffee while improving their living standards.
Accessibility to basic equipment:
Our project aims to solve the problems of access to stable electricity, drinking water and sanitation that the villages of the Manggarai region face, which are currently deprived of these basic services. We aim to implement sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions using renewable energy, especially solar energy.
Our plan of action is to prioritize communities, homes and schools that are in urgent need of improving their living conditions. We plan to install solar energy facilities to provide a stable and reliable source of electricity, as well as to meet drinking water and sanitation needs. We also plan to train local technicians to install, maintain and repair the solar equipment.
By using renewable energy, we can offer sustainable solutions to meet the energy needs of these communities, while reducing their environmental impact. In addition, these solutions will improve the quality of life of the inhabitants by providing them with access to stable electricity, clean water and sanitation.
